Kiez Ghost
History is always art's first context. Places hold within them their own history and they are inhabited by spirits, ghosts.
The protagonist of Kiez Ghost is an invisible spirit who lives in a Berlin neighbourhood.
The work was born out of a desire to research the nature of a protagonist and to find a
balance between the image and audio. The unseeable character is subtly made visible,
in the end it has a presence on the screen. At the same time the work is a documentation
of the place where I lived in the summer of 2018.
Kiez Ghost
Historia on taiteen ensimmäinen konteksti. Paikat pitävät sisällään niille tapahtuneen
historian ja niitä asuttavat henget, kummitukset.
Kiez kummitus -teoksen päähenkilö on näkymätön, berliiniläisessä naapurustossa
asustava henki. Teos sai alkunsa halusta tutkia päähenkilön ideaa sekä kuvan ja
äänen tasapainoa. Halusin hienovaraisesti tehdä ruudulle näkyväksi näkymättömän hahmon,
luoda sille preesensin.
Samalla teos on dokumentti paikasta jossa itse asuin kesän 2018.
